Referred to as amlaki in Ayurveda, amla is the small, bright green, sour fruit from a small deciduous tree native to India. This organic amalaki fruit powder is packed with vitamin C and have been a part of Ayurvedic medicine for thousands of years.Amla powder is often added to herbal formulations, extracts, and capsules.
Amla, or Indian gooseberry, is the fruit of a small to medium-sized deciduous tree native to India. The berries are greenish yellow with a fibrous inner texture. Harvested in autumn by hand, they have a sour, bitter, and astringent taste. A much-beloved staple of traditional Ayurvedic medicine, amla is considered a cooling pitta herb. Our amla powder is milled from dried fruit (seeds removed).

How to use
Its high tannin content makes it suitable for shampoos, and hair oils.
Make Amla Powder Tea: Boil ½ tsp in 8 oz water for 10 minutes, steep it for about an hour, filter it and then drink it.
Make Amla Powder Lemonade: Add 1 TBSP amla powder to 2 quarts of fresh lemonade and whisk vigorously until fully dissolved.
